Choosing a sound machine

I’m always recommending that parents buy fewer items, but a reliable sound machine is a necessity! Read on to learn why I love sound machines and my favorite.

Why do you need a sound machine?

  • While a newborn might not wake up when a doorbell rings or a dog barks, your infant definitely will. A sound machine blocks out noise.

  • It is a cue for your baby or child that it is time to sleep.

  • It allows you to live normally while your baby sleeps.

What are special features of sound machines?

  • Sound machines can have different sound levels or different sounds.

  • Some sound machines can connect to your phone and have set times.

  • Some can have lights for scared or nervous sleepers or to make diaper changes easier.

Here are some of my favorites!

Knowing there isn’t one right way to have and raise a tiny human, Gigi works with parents as they find their way to thrive in the fourth trimester and beyond.
