non-toxic swaps: baby bottles

non toxic baby bottles.jpg

You might be concerned about using plastic bottles to feed your baby, for their health or the planet. If you’re looking for safer ways to feed your little one, here are three alternatives.

glass

You might be a little scared at the idea of giving your baby a glass bottle. I get it. But glass won’t leach anything harmful into your baby’s milk. They’re also much safer to sterilize or throw in the dishwasher. Glass bottles will also last a long time, so you can reuse them for multiple children and still pass them on. My clients have all loved these and these.

silicone

Silicone is toxin-free, too. It’s easy to wash and sterilize. They don’t last as long as glass, but I’ve used these for multiple children, and my clients love these.

stainless steel

Stainless steel bottles are a great choice: they’re safe for babies and can be sterilized easily. The only downside, with my children, is that once they can throw the bottles, they can get a little dented. My kids still use these and these for water.

Hi! I'm Gigi; I'm a postpartum doula, mother to three toddlers, including twins, and a wife to my high school sweetheart. I’m a #swiftie who loves cheesy novels.

As a former teacher, I bring realistic, evidence-based, and actionable advice (and LOTS of handouts.) I help families get the tools they need to prepare, so once baby arrives, they can focus on resting and bonding instead of researching or stressing. I’m here to streamline the newborn learning curve and help birth parents, partners, and other family members. There isn’t ONE way to have and raise a little human. I’m here to guide parents to find THEIR way so that they can thrive in the fourth trimester and beyond.
