Do it Yourself Birth Plans

Why do you need a birth plan?

Your birth plan, or your birth preferences, are important because they convey what you want and don’t want to happen during and after your birth. (Learn about all of the benefits of birth plans here.)

How do you make your birth plans?

Start here! You’ll learn about topics like your birth environment. labor positions, pain relief and more.

Take time to think about your priorities. Have discussions with your partner or support person about what you want birth to look and feel like.

Advocate for yourself. Have an honest discussion with your care provider. It’s important that they respect your birth preferences and will listen to them. If not, you might need to find an alternative or advocate for yourself and your baby.

Hi! I'm Gigi; I'm a postpartum doula, mother to three toddlers, including twins, and a wife to my high school sweetheart. I’m a #swiftie who loves cheesy novels.

I help families get the tools they need to prepare, so once baby arrives, they can focus on resting and bonding instead of researching or stressing. I’m here to streamline the newborn learning curve and help birth parents, partners, and other family members. There isn’t ONE way to have and raise a little human. I’m here to guide parents to find THEIR way so that they can thrive in the fourth trimester and beyond.
